This isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but it's a rather dangerous place to be left alone. Electronics do not work during the Dark Hour, so you wouldn't have been able to contact anybody, even if you were conscious.
no subject
I did notice my phone didn't work.
[He tried to take a picture.]

If you stopped being conscious within the tower, my guess is that you may have encountered a trigger within it, like one of the monsters that roams there. Igor may have taken measures into his own hands to protect you.
no subject
The strange thing is, it felt so familiar. As if I'd seen it before.
no subject
Obviously, I don't want to dwell too much into it that I accidentally trigger another episode. You've certainly been through enough as it is, what with the whole prolonged disappearance.
no subject
It would have been nice if my prolonged disappearance sent me home. But it will happen when it happens.
no subject
Less of a problem at home, perhaps, but this is not your home, and in this case it caused you to disappear for quite a while.
no subject
Maybe I would have seen what you all see, given time.
no subject
That is to say, you would likely need one other person accompanying you. Not because I think you are a liability but because this world is vastly unpredictable, and we don't want you getting lost again.
no subject
Can I ask, by the way, did I miss anything while I was gone?

1. There was a Halloween Party with mandatory costumes, a number of supernatural entities and attractions, and Magpie was turned into a child for two months. One of the Rens followed in short order. Both have since reverted.
2. We recently had Christmas festivities, with an assortment of decorations, booths, and other attractions within each of the regions.
3. Many new people have arrived and a few have left, but we have since discovered that you can keep contact with your friends here even when you return.
no subject
As to that last one... if we can contact our friends here after we leave, why can't we contact our friends at home, do you think? I take it you learned this from one of the people who left?
no subject
It is rather odd, but if I had to guess, it may be that our presence here and obtaining the specific applications to chat here is all that it takes.
no subject
What about you? Have you been well? As I said, it is good of you to check on me.

The aftermath of Magpie and the other Ren reverting to their original ages led to a great deal of emotional strife. When I reached out to that Ren, he reacted poorly, trying to push me away by listing out every little thing he's done wrong as an attempted deterrent. I had to step away, Magpie tried to intervene on my behalf, and may or may not have made things worse, but at least wrung an apology out of him when that Ren reached out to me again.
Then Yoshizawa-san met another version of herself who didn't agree with her view of herself, your rescue transpired, and I am effectively on probation from getting too heavily involved due to my tendency to overexert myself.
no subject
Does that mean you aren't going to be so fascinated with the ins and outs of my psychology? Which Ren was it, the one who blew up Shinjuku?
[He is not surprised to hear Magpie made things worse.]
no subject
But yes, it was that Ren. My boyfriend's far too likable to cause friction with Magpie. Not that the other Ren isn't likable, but he certainly has far more emotional baggage that I dare not disclose out of respect for his privacy.
no subject
I'm sorry, you said "boyfriend"? He's here?

no subject
I don't want to impose where I'm not welcome.
no subject
Ren is generally amicable with most people. It would take a lot to get under his skin. As for Akira-kun... I can keep him busy, if need be. Though it's been long enough that he may not even hold it against you.
no subject
You know, I thought that Ren was rather nice, once I convinced him the others didn't deserve to be blown limb from limb for being different. I'm sorry to hear he's having a hard time. Perhaps I'll get in touch.
no subject
Then you can go find Hawk, who I am certain has a great deal to talk about.
Contacting the other Ren likely wouldn't hurt either.
no subject
You're turning into quite the mother Crow.
[So like how Magpie might have put it.]
