She sighed, "When have I ever bribed you? I don't plan to start." She just felt drained and tired, and sad, and anxious, and and and...

Yeah, okay, she was overwhelmed. She had too many emotions and was starting to boil over.

"Everyone wants something. Everyone starts. You're too smart not to know that."

He hasn't taken his eyes off her; his lips have turned down in a sour little pucker. "So what is it, did you come down here because nobody would listen to you up there?"

She stuck her tongue out at him. "You're mean, anyone ever tell you that?" Asshole. She hadn't moved from her new found spot. How many times had she laid here now?

"I mean, I haven't talked to anyone up there. I was just wandering and here I am."

[pheasantboy]

"So I'm your safe space now. Charming. I really should eat you up, the way I did Ren." He grins, savage and dangerous-looking, but doesn't shift from his own spot; the Ren-light inside him shifts this way and that, as if on the finest of chains.

He's not aware of anything that happened on the surface; his ego, beyond its multitude of deeper faults, is a shit newsgatherer.

"If you eat me I just come back." she sighed. She wanted to ask how he was going with that. She sat up though. "Do you want to know what's going on top side?" She has been a source of information for him before, and frankly the distraction could help her.

Ugh. The Shadow scowls at her without a word, which is as good as a yes.

She grins. She caught him. "We've got a new guy. He's strange, and when he was first here he kept praising Shido. He got into an altercation with Raven, almost attacked him, Crow stepped in." She was waving her hands around as she explained.

"Anyways, he was trying to hide the fact that he's a robot, and doing a piss poor job of it, we all could tell. I had two separate people message me, and I knew from the first time meeting him." She shrugged.

"A robot, huh? You should send him down here to me." None of it strikes him as too terribly interesting, other than that mention of Shido. Except...

"Raven is the boy." Just a simple statement of fact.

[cybermask]

She might be able to convince him. There was a strong sense of doubt that she could. "Raven is the younger version of Crow respectively." She nodded.

"Anyways, since he was doing such a shit job, we discovered he had essentially a virus from Shido."

[pheasantboy]

... and that's when the eerie light in his eyes flares brighter. He straightens against the wall. "You mean, a virus that was controlling how he behaved? Praising Shido, attacking Raven."

[cybermask]

She nodded. "Among other things, yes." Oh yeah, that was similar to what happened to him. "He had a fail safe too, set to kill anyone who knew about the metaverse, who he couldn't bring over to Shido's side, if anyone knew what Shido did."

[pheasantboy]

"That piece of shit." The Shadow flops back in its makeshift seat, forgetting the robot. "I should have cut out his eyes when I had the chance. The amount of shit he did... I was a fool to let him string me along like he did.

"And Maruki...." His yellow eyes glitter. "Fuck him. I was a fool with him too."

"A lot of us were fools, it's why I plan to change our timeline." She sighed. Maruki was part of her world too, she'd have to handle that if she makes it through of course.
